This memorial website was created to remember all of the shelter animals that have been euthanized while in the shelter in the United States.

"Each year, approximately 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized (670,000 dogs and 860,000 cats)." (ASPCA).

"56 percent of dogs and 71 percent of cats that enter animal shelters are euthanized." (American Humane Society, 2016).
